Talk:Distributed unconsciousness/DU and religion
From Wikireason
"The concept proposes that religion paradigms are just actualized, anthropomorphizing (personifications) of DU and have been colored by personal interpretations of cultural w:myths and individual w:paradigm (social, mythos heritage and experiences) interpretations of the founders trying to explain DU in terms that ignorant people can understand and grasp. The rational is that a spiritual person will feel a very strong, even a very profound intense connection to the distributive unconsciousness which can result in persons experiencing hallucination and visions by connecting to the distributed data source."
- This implies that spiritual persons can access information which is shared throughout the cosmos. Yet empirically it is observed that they never provide any testable information that was not known to them by other means. It is as worthless van Praagh's talking to the dead. As a theory DU seems to have failed it's first test. [Bob Zannelli -- email]
- Maybe you are right…. I think you are reading into my words a bit things I am not saying…Keep in mind, I haven't yet defined "information" because our language doesn't posses the proper descriptor for it or less understanding of it… its like trying to perceive a QT string. We cant we don't have the language to do so. Also, I use the term unconscious, for the very reason that it isn't conscious intellectual connection like a television or psyche... something closer like your firing neurons. People don't have control over it and its actualization is more akin to a sensation or feeling. H0riz0n 18:46, 1 May 2006 (PDT)

- But no data is ever obtained in this way - just vague speculations. [email: Brent Meeker]
- There is plenty of personal evidence that people have hallucination and see images in meditation . Images and thoughts are a type of data stream. H0riz0n 20:15, 1 May 2006 (PDT)
